ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- A fire broke out in a home on Bowlby Road on Saturday afternoon.

Crews were called out shortly before 5 p.m.  Smoke could be seen from miles away as firefighters battled the blaze. 

There's no word yet on the cause.
