Born and raised in Elmira, Bruce Hauver known as the kid who always made home movies.  Bruce would watch movies growing up and almost always ask, “How did they do that?”
A graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Bruce has a degree in Industrial Design with a concentration in Special Effects and Movie Making.  At the Art Institute, he learned the fundamentals of drawing, designing, the creation of special effects, make-up, and theatrical props for film and television.  Bruce learned to use computers to develop concepts, make design decisions, detail design, construct special effects models, character generation, video editing, and motion graphics. He also learned pre/post video and film production.
From conception and design…to fabrication and presentation, Bruce had the creativity and now has the knowledge.  While at school he had the privilege of working on films such as Dogma by Miramax Films and Inspector Gadget by Walt Disney Pictures.

Christopher Golden
Creative Services

Christopher Golden got his first camera when he was 11 years old.  It’s primary purpose was to take photos of his dog, but simple pet photos would eventually lead to an education and career in photography and videography.  Growing up in the Finger Lakes region, Christopher was naturally drawn to the beauty of the region.  Shooting landscapes naturally led into family members asking for portraits, friends wanting baby pictures, and over the course of 8 years, Christopher can be now found most weekends photographing weddings in the summer and nature in the winter.  In 2017 Christopher started shooting news and sports photography, and in September of 2018 Christopher entered into the Creative Services department at WENY to work on the commercial and promotional needs of the region he grew up in.

Robert McGunnigle Jr.
Creative Services

Ever since childhood, Robert has always been fascinated by movies...specifically special effects! That curiosity, coupled with a love of all things audio and music, lead Rob to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Oswego State University where he worked for the school's TV and radio stations.

After graduation, Rob started his Broadcasting career as on-air talent and producer at WVIN radio in Bath, NY. A few short years later, Rob began his television career at WENY-TV as a News Videographer and Editor
in 2001 where he learned the art of visual storytelling! Stints AT WBNG-TV in Binghamton, WHP-TV in Harrisburg PA, and WGAL-TV in Lancaster PA would help shape and refine Rob's Videography, Editing, Motion Graphics, Writing, and Voiceover chops!

After many years in the Keystone State, Robert returned home to the Twin Tiers in 2020 where he now applies his skills once again for WENY-TV...This time in the Creative Services Department!
When he's not behind a camera or a computer, Rob can be found playing his drums or reading a good book!
