Eldridge Park Officials Looking for Volunteers to Help with Park Clean Up

ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- Officials with Eldridge Park in Elmira are looking for the community's help with its upcoming first annual park clean up, presented by the Local Environment Action Force (LEAF) group from the 2024-'25 class of Leadership Chemung. Officials said this is a great opportunity for people, families, and organizations to make a positive impact and enjoy the outdoors.
It's happening on April 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Volunteers will help with some cleaning and organizing with the following spots in the park:
Carousel Building
- Conduct a thorough deep clean inside
- Wipe down the animals
- Organize the gift shop
Groundwork
- Weed flowerbeds
- Apply mulch
- Clear away leaves
Mini Golf
- Remove weeds
- Add mulch
- Dispose of leaves
Bathrooms
Clean thoroughly
Volunteers will be provided lunch and receive an exclusive Eldridge Park keychain.
