NEW YORK (WENY) -- Local law enforcement agencies are partnering with Applebee's to raise money for the New York Special Olympics program.

The fundraiser will be taking place Thursday, April 10, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A portion of the cost of patron's meals will be donated to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New York during that time.

The Chemung County Sheriff's Office will help fundraise at the Applebee's in Big Flats.

Ithaca Police and the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office will be helping out at the Ithaca Applebee's location.

Some Special Olympics athletes will be attending the events.
