One hospitalized after crash on Route 13 in Veteran

VETERAN, N.Y. (WENY) -- One person is in the hospital after their car left the road and went airborne in the Town of Veteran Saturday.
The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. on Route 13, according to New York State Police.
Officers say a 45-year-old man driving a 2018 Jaguar exited the roadway and hit a driveway embankment, which sent the car airborne. The vehicle then hit a utility pole and overturned.
The man is currently in Robert Packer Hospital. No word yet on the extent of his injuries.
Police say they are investigating the cause of the accident.
Emergency response to the scene caused Route 13 to be shut down for hours, but it has since been reopened. NYSEG crews were seen making repairs to electricity lines just south Saturday afternoon.
