PA Sues U.S. Health & Human Services for $500 Million Grant Terminations

Pennsylvania has joined 22 other states in suing the federal government for canceled funding from the U.S. Health & Human Services department.
Roughly $495 million in grant funding, administered by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has been terminated for Pennsylvania.
The termination took place on March 24 and the state agencies were notified on March 25, according to legal documents.
Three grant programs were impacted— which give money to the Department of Health, Department of Human Services, and Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs.
The funds help with lab testing and giving vaccines to kids, along with mental health and substance abuse programs.
