NYSP: Arkport man intentionally hit two with car, victims seriously hurt

HORNELLSVILLE, N.Y. (WENY) -- An Arkport man was arrested for allegedly intentionally hitting two people with his vehicle.
According to New York State Police, Walter Golden, 40, hit the two victims on a farm equipment access path next to Pine Knoll Park in Hornellsville. The incident allegedly happened just before 6 p.m. on March 30.
Police say Golden hit a 56 and 57-year-old with his 2011 Cadillac SUV. The 56-year-old was seriously hurt with life-threatening injuries. They were airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital and are still in the ICU in critical condition. The 57-year-old was also hurt. They were treated at St. James Hospital and have since been released.
Golden is charged with two counts of Assault. He was taken to the Steuben County Jail to be arraigned.
