ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Ithaca Police arrested a minor for allegedly starting a fire last week at an Ithaca apartment.

The fire broke out on Thursday evening in the 700 block of Chestnut Street. The blaze completely destroyed the apartment. No one was hurt in the fire.

An investigation determined that the fire was started through arson, according to the Ithaca Police Department.

The minor, who was not identified due to their age, was arrested and charged with Arson.

They were arraigned in Tompkins County Court and released to their guardian.
