CORNING, (WENY) -- The Corning Rotary Club came together on Thursday, March 20th at the Corning Radisson to announce thousands of dollars in international grants. In total, seven international organizations are getting part of $7,300. 

"Rotary is an international organization, and our particular club over the past fifteen twenty years has raised money that we can spend part of our budget on international projects, and we have an event that will be coming up, probably in June now, that will support it, by being a major fundraiser for our international projects and will also celebrate our diversity the cultural diversity of our community," said Ray Defendorf of the Corning Rotary Club. 

According to Defendorf, grants will go to Uganda, Napal, the Congo and more. Money will spent on multiple projects, including teaching children to sew, and helping an orphanage.
