Elmira College hosting Public Health Emergency drill Wednesday

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Elmira College students will be participating in a mock public health emergency response simulation Wednesday.
Officials say from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., students, faculty, security and other community members will be seen in and around Meier Hall. It is meant to be a lifelike drill. It is just an exercise and is not a real emergency, even though it will look real.
The drill will simulate a meningitis outbreak. Elmira College says there are no known cases of meningitis on campus.
