ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Elmira Police Department announced on Friday, March 14th that the department is looking for 1000 City residents to participate in a crime survey. The survey is designed to help figure out where in the city people are seeing the most crime, along with asking what kind of deterrence residents want to see in their neighborhoods.
According to the EPD, they are hoping the survey will help identify new areas for gun violence intervention. The survey will remain open for one month, or until 1000 people participate.
