M&T Bank gives out over $46,000 to local non-profits

TWIN TIERS (WENY) -- M&T Bank announced on Thursday, March 13th that the bank has given out $46,500 worth of grants to help local hunger relief organizations across the Southern Tier and Bradford County. Some of the local recipients include Meals on Wheels in Chemung County, Nutrition for the Elderly in Tompkins County, and the Tioga County Rural Ministry.
"No one in our community should have to worry about their next meal. However, it is a devastating issue that impacts far too many of our neighbors here in the Southern Tier,” said Peter Newman, M&T Bank regional president, adding, “At M&T Bank, our mission is to make a difference in people’s lives—and supporting local groups that fight food insecurity is an important way we can help. We are thankful for the opportunity to support so many outstanding nonprofits dedicated to feeding communities across the region.”
