Steele Memorial Library to reopen Tuesday

According to library staff, the Elmira location will resume its normal Tuesday hours, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
UPDATE 3:30 p.m. (3/13): Staff at the Steele Memorial Library shared with WENY News that the library is closed due to plumbing issues.
A piece of pipe broke off and is blocking an underground pipe about 80 feet from the building, stopping water from flowing to the building, per staff.
Crews will have to dig up the street in order to make the repair. Service is scheduled for next Monday, but no word at this time as to when plumbing will be restored.
The library cannot be open to the public without water or bathrooms.
The library says updates will be posted to their website, when available.
