Police: Ithaca KFC robbed at gunpoint, 2 people charged

ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Two people are in police custody after the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Ithaca was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, according to the Ithaca Police Department.
Allen Forest, 44, allegedly demanded money from the Elmira St. KFC location at gunpoint with 24-year-old Jessica Anderson sometime around 10 p.m.
Police say the pair fled the scene into a nearby home after the robbery. Law enforcement searched the home with a warrant, recovered evidence and arrested the suspects, according to Ithaca Police.
Forest is charged with Robbery, Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Use of a Firearm and Grand Larceny, all felonies. He is also charged with Menacing, a misdemeanor.
Anderson is charged with Felony Robbery.
Forest was arraigned and taken to the Tompkins County Jail without bail, while Anderson is in the jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
