ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Eldridge Park is looking for volunteers to help at the park for this upcoming season.

Officials say there are volunteer opportunities on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis operating one of ride attractions .  They say each hour volunteering at the park saves Eldridge Park the cost of hiring for the position or an average of $20 per hour, as well as being as being a volunteer opportunity.  Volunteers are scheduled for five hour shifts.

Opportunities include ride operators, mini golf, train engineer, boat captain, gift shop operator, car show assistant, and grounds maintenance.  Each volunteer will receive an indoctrination to the park as well as a volunteer shirt as a thank you.
