Bradford Co. Man Sentenced to More than 12 Years Behind Bars for Allegedly Transporting A Minor To Engage In Illicit Sexual Conduct
BRADFORD COUNTY, Pa (WENY) -- A Bradford County man has been sentenced to more than twelve years behind bars for allegedly transporting a minor across state lines to engage in illicit sexual conduct.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, 45-year-old Mark Douglas Miller from Wyalusing was sentenced after they say he knowingly and willingly transported a minor across state lines with purpose of engaging in illicit sexual conduct in from January 2020 to March 2020.
Miller was sentenced to 150 months behind bars. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania says the 12 year sentence will be followed by 10 years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the FBI and Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin prosecuted the case. This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
