ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Ice issues caused the Elmira Aviator's game to be postponed on Friday night.

According to LECOM Event Center, there was a drop in voltage from the electrical supplier, the ice plant shut down in the middle of the night prior to Friday's game.  Because of this, the league referees and both teams decided to postpone the game.  Officials say they are working with NYSEG to correct and monitor the issue, and the electrical issues are affecting other businesses downtown.

LECOM Event Center says ice making has resumed, and the conditions for Saturday's game are safe.  Tickets for Friday's game will be honored Saturday night, and ticket holders will get a voucher for another game.

LECOM Event Center says the game against the Rochester Junior Americans will be rescheduled.
