CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- A historic building in downtown Corning has been given a new purpose. It now serves as a hub for small businesses in the beauty and wellness industry. The Suite Experience brings together a range of services and independent professionals under one roof, fostering entrepreneurship and collaboration.

The owner of the Suite Experience, Mackenzie Myers, said the idea was to create a space where small business owners could thrive while offering clients access to various services. 

"This has been a dream of mine for like the past five years, I've been absolutely obsessed with this building. I drove by it every day for the last, however long, and I thought it would make the most amazing small business hub salon," says Myers.

The business combines private suites with an open atmosphere, allowing for a collaborative environment while giving professionals their own space to operate. Services include hair styling, nail treatments, teeth whitening, and aesthetic services, with more offerings expected as the new business grows.

New stylist Avery Decker said working at The Suite Experience has been both encouraging and inspiring. 

"It's truly a blessing to be able to work here with so many amazing women. If I ever have any questions, I can ask anybody anything. At the drop of a hat, they'll be here to help me. As a new stylist, it's really scary, but the girls have made it really easy here," says Decker.

The goal is to create an environment that benefits both the professionals who work there and the clients who visit.

"We definitely want everybody to know it's a comfortable space. We want everybody to feel welcome here. It's just positive energy all around and we just want everybody to feel their best," explains Decker.

As small businesses continue to evolve in Corning, spaces like the Suite Experience reflect a shift towards community-driven, collaborative business models. 

The building provides services and represents an effort to empower local entrepreneurs and strengthen the local economy.
