WAVERLY, N.Y. (WENY) -- A man from Florida was arrested in Waverly on Thursday for allegedly impregnating a minor and other offenses.

According to the Waverly Police Department, 27-year-old Trevon Bing, from Fort White, Fl. was arrested as a fugitive from justice outside the Dandy Mini Mart in Waverly. Police were investigating a collision between a tractor trailer Bing was driving and another vehicle when they discovered the charges.

Bing was arrested on charges of Impregnation of a Minor and Lewd Lascivious Battery of a Child. The charges were filed in Columbia County, Florida. A state judge signed a full nationwide extradition warrant for Bing on Jan. 16.

Bing is in the Tioga County Jail as he awaits further legal action.
