ITHACA, N.Y. (WENY) -- In an effort to get a better picture of the health care picture in Tompkins County, the county's Health Department is asking people to participate in a community health survey.

County Health officials say it's important to hear from county residents about what they see as priorities.

Tompkins County Whole Health Commissioner Frank Kruppa stated, “The Community Health Survey provides valuable information about the community’s perspectives on health in Tompkins County. While completing the CHIP is a requirement for all local health departments, in Tompkins County we are invested in making this process meaningful and instructive to the local health system. We invite everyone to participate in our Community Health Survey; your engagement improves our work.”

Once finished, the results of the survey are incorporated into the community health assessment and community health improvement plan, which is the local level outline for addressing priority health areas in Tompkins County.

The survey will run through February 27th, if you want to participate, visit the Tompkins County Whole Health website.
