Bradford Co. woman accused of stealing over $200,000 from plumbing company

TROY, PA. (WENY) -- A Bradford County woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars from a local plumbing company.
Deanne Bowers, a 46-year-old from Canton, allegedly stole over $209,000 from Schoonover Plumbing & Heating based in Canton. After the confrontation, she allegedly visited two different Lowes and bought over $2,000 worth of giftcards through an account the business has open with the stores.
Bowers is charged with three felonies including Theft By Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property and Access Device Used to Obtain or Attempt to Obtain Service.
Bowers is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 29.
