The annual Dr. Martin Luther King Awards dinner was held on Saturday night, with one of our own receiving a well deserved honor.
The Dr. King dinner is held each year to honor those who embody Dr King's vision of equality and justice.
Our Lisa Adams received the ""Service to Community Award" on Saturday night.
The theme of the dinner was Justice, Democracy, Hope, and Love.
The guest speaker for the event was the honorable Jordan A. Harris, the Democratic Appropriations Chairman for the PA House of Representatives.
This was the 14th year the community has been invited to the Dr. King Awards dinner, at the MLK Center.
