Galeton man arrested for alleged role in 2020 Potter Co. murder
COUDERSPORT, PA. (WENY) -- Pennsylvania State Police on Monday announced the arrest of a Potter County man over his alleged involvement in the murder of a Galeton teenager in 2020.
Varley Fuller, a 65-year-old, was arrested in Hornell Friday by the Hornell Police Department. Fuller is charged with Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Murder in the first, second, and third degree, Kidnapping and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Sometime between March and April of 2020, police say 19-year-old Joshua Ramos was assaulted by Fuller and three others inside a Galeton home. Ramos' body was taken and dumped in the woods in Harrison Township. His remains were found in July of that year after authorities were tipped off about it.
According to PSP, Fuller waived his extradition proceedings and will be sent to Pennsylvania to face the allegations. Police say they expect he will be denied bail due to the seriousness of the charges.
Three other people were previously charged and convicted for their role in the killing.
Krysten Crosby, a 25-year-old woman from Galeton, was found guilty in August 2024 on charges of Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Kidnapping and Tampering with Evidence. She was sentenced to serve 31 to 62 years in state prison.
Felicia Cary, a 38-year-old woman from Galeton, was found guilty in November on Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Kidnapping charges. She was sentenced to serve 30 to 60 years in prison.
In December, Kyle Moore, a 31-year-old man from Galeton, was found guilty in charges of Conspiracy to Commit Murder and Kidnapping. He will serve 22 to 44 years in state custody.
Each of the three people previously convicted for their roles in the case also faced three murder charges, but were not found guilty of that crime.
