Odessa man pleads guilty to sexually assaulting children

SCHUYLER COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Schuyler County District Attorney announced on Wednesday, January 8th that a 67-year-old man from Odessa has pleaded guilty to multiple charges associated with sexually assaulting children. Marcel Veilleux pleaded guilty to one count of Rape, one count of Criminal Sexual Act, and two counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child in a Schuyler County Court on January 2nd.
According to the D.A., as part of his plea, Veilleux admitted to sexually abusing a girl under the age of 11, and a girl under the age of 13, over a two year period of time. He also admitted that he made hundreds of photographs documenting the abuse that were discovered by authorities during their investigation.
As part of the plea, Veilleux faces up to 25 years in state prison for the Rape and Criminal Sexual Act charges, and up to seven years on the two Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child.
