VETERAN, N.Y. (WENY) -- A car and garbage truck collided in Veteran early Saturday afternoon.

According to the Millport Fire Department, the crash happened around 1:48 p.m. on Watkins Road by Smith Road.  They say Route 14 was shut down in both directions while crews worked to clear the scene.


The fire department says there were injures, but did not say to what extent.
