CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Corning Police Department announced on Tuesday, Dec. 31st that they have arrested a Corning man on multiple child porn charges. Corning police say the arrest was the result of an investigation into Odell C. Dotson, 29 of Corning, that began in September 2023 and was conducted with with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI.)

During the investigation, City of Corning officials, alongside the FBI, executed a search warrant at Dotson's home for distribution and possession of child pornography. Following the investigation, authorities seized several electronic devices, and police say the findings were presented to the Steuben Grand Jury in late 2024. 

Dotson was arrested on December 26th, 2024 and charged with three counts of promoting sexual performance by a child, and three counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, all felonies. 

As a result, police say Dotson is being held without bail.
