ATHENS, PA. (WENY) -- An Athens, Pennsylvania man will serve up to 27 years behind bars after being convicted on sexual assault and other charges, according to the Bradford County District Attorney.

Wayne Fredrick Talada, a 37-year-old man, was sentenced to a minimum of 10 years in prison. He was found guilty on two felony counts of Sexual Assault and one count of Corruption of Minors, also a felony.

The charges stem from an incident that happened in August 2023.

Talada was declared a sexually violent predator, according to the DA, he will also have to register as a sex offender. After serving 10 to 27 years in state prison, Talada will be under probationary supervision for three years.
