Athens Twp. Police Dept. Needs Public's Help Regarding a Hit-and-Run Accident

UPDATE FROM 12/29/2024 at 12:30 P.M.: Authorities say the woman in the photos has been identified and police have made contact with her.
(WENY) -- The Athens Township Police Department is looking for the public's help in a hit-and-run accident.
According to a Facebook post, police said the hit-and-run happened on Elmira Street near the Dandy Mini Mart in the Athens Twp. around 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28th.
Authorities are trying to identify the front seat passenger of the car. If you know the woman's identity/her location, you're urged to contact 570-888-2200.
At the time of this publication, no other information was provided regarding how many people were hit or what the driver looks like.
