Dundee man injured after chase that ended in a crash, police say

DUNDEE, N.Y. (WENY) -- A man from Dundee is facing a slew of charges after police said he led them on a chase which ended in a crash.
According to the Yates County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Jonathan R. Webb was stopped in the Town of Starkey on Thursday night around 11:00 p.m. Deputies said they were talking to Webb about a separate incident when he drove away at a high rate of speed with no lights.
Deputies said they tried to stop him again, but he kept on going before eventually crashing his car on State Route 14 after being chased through Dundee. The Sheriff's Office said Webb was injured and treated on scene by deputies -- he was later taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester via helicopter.
Webb is facing a number of charges, including unlawful fleeing of a police officer, reckless driving, speeding, and unlicensed operation.
Webb was issued an appearance ticket.
