A clipper system will bring periods of light snow to the Twin Tiers on Friday. Temperatures will be in the mid-30s. As the system pulls off the coast, we will see snow taper off as scattered snow showers Friday night. Lows will be around 20 tonight. A few lake effect snow showers will remain possible Saturday with highs in the mid-20s. The region can expected 2-3" of snow with some of the Finger Lakes seeing additional accumulation due to lake enhanced snow showers. Localized 1-3" of additional accumulation can't be ruled out south of Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.  Breezy conditions are expected on Saturday along with the colder temperatures. It will get even colder by Sunday as a bitterly cold air mass moves over the area. Highs will be in the teens with lows around zero Sunday night.  Wind chills will drop into the single digits and below zero at times. Bundle up! A warming trend returns early next week with highs in the upper-20s on Monday followed by the mid-30s on Tuesday. A few snow showers will be possible Tuesday. Dry conditions are expected for Christmas Day with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the upper-30s. Thursday will be partly sunny with temperatures in the lower-40s.
