Snow and Rain Wednesday
Mostly cloudy skies move in for Wednesday as a system approaches from the west. Rain and snow showers will push in by lunchtime. Highs will be in the upper-30s and lower-40s. Eventually, temperatures will drop back through the 30s into the afternoon and the precipitation will change to all snow before tapering into the evening. Snow accumulation will be light with most seeing less than 1" with localized higher amounts in the hilltops. Lows will be in the upper-20s under partly cloudy skies. Thursday will start off with a mix of sun and clouds followed by mostly cloudy skies into the afternoon as another system approaches from the west. It will be dry with temperatures on the cooler side in the mid-30s. Cloudy skies continue Friday with snow showers as a weak clipper system passes through. Temperatures remain in the 30s. This system will allow cold, arctic air to filter into the region for the weekend. Highs will start off in the mid-20s on Saturday. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with a few snow showers. Drier weather moves in Sunday with fair skies. Temperatures will struggle to get out of the teens. Wind chills over the weekend will be in the single digits and at times the negatives. Bundle up! A warming trend is expected early next week with highs climbing through the 20s and into the 30s by Tuesday. Monday will be dry with partly sunny skies. Clouds increasing Tuesday with the chance for snow showers.
