Owego man arrested for allegedly 3-D printing handguns
OWEGO, N.Y. (WENY) -- An Owego man is facing multiple felony charges for allegedly making handguns at home with a 3-D printer.
According to New York State Police, they found multiple 3-D printed pistols and accessories, along with silencers and high capacity magazines in the home of 54-year-old John Standish on Lisle Rd.
Police say the discovery was made while troopers were investigating another matter.
Standish does not have a pistol permit, according to NYSP. He is facing four felony Criminal Possession of a Weapon charges, and one misdemeanor Criminal Possession of a Weapon charge.
Standish was arraigned at the Tioga County Correctional Facility.
