NEW YORK, (WENY) -- A 62-year-old repeat sex offender from Elmira has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after being convicted on a possession of child pornography charge. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, before this latest conviction, Donald Campbell Sr. was already a level three register sex offender after two previous felony child pornography charges in New York. 

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Campbell was found to have over 600 images and videos showing the sexual abuse of children 12 and younger. The material was found on digital devices and according to the U.S. Attorney, Campbell both downloaded and shared the images over the internet.
