Winter Storm Watch Begins at 4 PM
We will see a break in the precipitation during the morning hours before our next round of showers returns late into the afternoon. Temperatures will be in the mid-40s by midday and drop back close to freezing into tonight. Precipitation picks up Thursday evening and continues overnight with wet snow expected. Valleys will see 1-3" of snow due to temperatures settling right above freezing. For the higher elevations, which will be a few degrees cooler, could see accumulation closer to 6". Along with snow, breezy conditions will pick up Thursday night. Lingering rain and snow showers will be possible Friday with breezy conditions continuing. Temperatures will be below-average in the lower-40s. A few rain showers will remain possible into Saturday followed by drier weather on Sunday. The weekend will consist of highs in the mid to upper-40s. A warm front will lift through the region on Monday with much of the day on the dry side. Shower chances will go up late into the afternoon and for the evening. Highs will be in the upper-40s and lower-50s. The following cold front passes by Tuesday with a few showers possible. We drop back to the lower-40s on Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies.
