One person dead after Beaver Dams crash

UPDATE: 11/4/24 3:30 p.m. -- The Schuyler County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim in the crash as 55-year-old Donald Lincoln of Horseheads. Police say he struck an embankment and several trees, and that an investigation of the rash determined that speed and not wearing a seatbelt were contributing factors.
BEAVER DAMS, N.Y. (WENY) -- One person was killed in a car crash Saturday morning in Beaver Dams, according to the Schuyler County Sheriff's Office.
Around 7:15 a.m., officers said they responded to State Route 414 and Rockwell Road in Beaver Dams for a report of a one car accident. Upon arrival, deputies said they found the driver of the car deceased.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Sheriff's Office said an update will follow.
