Corning Museum of Glass to celebrate opening of redesigned Studio Friday

CORNING, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Corning Museum of Glass will celebrate the end of its StudioNEXT project with an opening party on Friday.
The multi-million-dollar project expanded spaces that were too small in the glass museum's studio space, added a large-scale kiln casting center, created a residency center for people to work year-round, built a 2-year non-degree program, and added new space for people can make their own art. The revamped studio now also features North America's largest glass casting center, according to the Museum.
The StudioNOW Opening Party is open to anyone Friday Oct. 18 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at CMOG's Studio. The event will feature tour, live music from DJ Rvmba, and martinis.
Tickets for the party are available for purchase until Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. They cost $10 per person and include a drink ticket. You can order tickets by clicking here.
CMOG announced the StudioNEXT project in October of 2022, and projected it to be completed near the end of 2024.
