Meet Cash, WENY's Pet of the Week!
PAINTED POST, N.Y. (WENY) -- Meet Cash, WENY’s Pet of the Week from the Pawz and Purrz Animal Rescue!
Cash is approximately 11 years old, weighs about 10.5 pounds, and may be a mix of several breeds, including Chihuahua.
Event coordinator Brenda Boynton says he’s both social and gets along well with other cats and dogs since coming to the shelter.
“He's pretty social and flexible. So, I think [he could go] from one person to a couple to a family, I think he would do well.”
Considering his age, Boynton says his health is in good shape and does not have to take any special food or medicine. However, he does need more work when it comes to potty training.
On Oct. 26, the 4th Annual Chili Cook-off will be taking place at the United Steelworkers Local 1000 in Corning N.Y. from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

“This event is really going to help us. We've had to put a hold on our intake because of funds. So, we're hoping to get some of these events out so that we can reopen our intake, and bring some more animals in. But to do that, we really need to raise some more money to help with the vet costs.”
If you or anyone are interested in adopting Cash, adoption applications can be found here.
