SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (WENY) -- According to the Elmira Water Board, the water was shut off sometime Tuesday, September 24th at Cherry Lane Mobile Home Park due to lack of payment.

Code Enforcement and the county health department went to the park Tuesday afternoon to post notices on the six remaining trailers saying they are uninhabitable.

A resident of the park confined with WENY News, she does not have any running water. She's now seeking help from Catholic Charities to find a new place to live, saying she is exhausted with dealing with all of the issues with the park.

The town of Southport revoked Cherry Lane Park's license to operate in early August after the park's owner failed to meet the terms of its license agreement. Residents were told to vacate the property on or before September 5th, but that didn't happen. Up until today, six trailers on the property remain occupied.
