KNOXVILLE, PA (WENY) -- As recovery efforts continue across the Twin Tiers after flash flooding caused by the remnants of Debby slammed the area, FEMA opened a Disaster Recovery Center at the Knoxville Community Center in Tioga County, PA on Friday, Sept. 20th. Representatives are on hand to help apply for FEMA assistance, and figure out what the next steps are once you have.

"This disaster recovery center allows survivors the opportunity to come in and talk to an actual person. We have a friendly team happy to help you register for assistance or answer any questions you may have. We can get you in and out if you're short on time or we can talk as long as you'd like," said George "Trey" Paul lll, FEMA media relations specialist.

The Community Center is located on 301 East Main Street, and will be open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Disaster Center is for flood survivors who live in Lycoming, Potter or Tioga County Pennsylvania only.
