SBA opens business recovery center in Tioga County, PA

TIOGA COUNTY, PA (WENY) -- The U.S. Small Business Administration has opened a Business Recovery Center in Tioga County, Pennsylvania to help businesses impacted by Tropical Storm Debby. The recovery center opened on Wednesday, August 18th and will remain open until further notice.
“Our Business Recovery Centers are one of the most powerful resources at SBA’s disposal to support business owners,” said Francisco Sánchez, Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the Small Business Administration.
Customer service reps at the recovery center will help business owners complete their disaster loan application, accept documents, and provide updates on their application status. Eligible businesses and private nonprofit organizations can borrow up to $2 million, with the money going to repair or replace disaster damaged or destroyed real estate, machinery and equipment, inventory, and more.
“Business owners can meet in-person with our specialists to apply for SBA disaster loans and get information on the full breadth of our programs designed to help them navigate their recovery," said Sanchez Jr.
The recovery center is located at the Westfield Community Building located at 429 E. Main Street. It will be open from Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Please be aware that Lycoming, Potter, Tioga and Union counties are eligible for both Physical and Economic Injury Disaster Loans from the SBA. Residents of Bradford County, Pennsylvania and Chemung and Steuben Counties in New York are only eligible to apply only for SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans.
With the changes to FEMA’s Sequence of Delivery, survivors are now encouraged to simultaneously apply
for FEMA grants and the SBA low-interest disaster loan assistance here.
