This month's full moon will illuminate the sky on Tuesday. It's called the Harvest Moon as farmers depended on the moon's light to harvest their late at night.

The location of this full moon will be a little closer than normal to the Earth, as a result, it's called the supermoon. This will be the second out of four supermoons for the year. The next two will take place in October and November.

The timing of this full moon will coincide with the partial lunar eclipse. A reminder that the lunar eclipse occurs when the Earth blocks sunlight from reaching the moon. With the partial lunar eclipse, a portion of the moon will be in the Earth's shadow. The partial lunar eclipse will be visible from 10:12 p.m. through 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
