18-year-old dead after motorcycle accident in Wayland

UPDATE: New York State Police have identified the 18-year-old male driving the motorcycle as Ryder Whitman from Dansville, New York. Whitman hit a person head on when he went to pass a vehicle in a no-passing zone. He was killed as a result of the crash.
WAYLAND, N.Y. (WENY) -- An 18-year-old is dead after a fatal motorcycle crash on State Route 63 in Wayland, according to New York State Police. The crash happened shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 12th. Police say the 18-year-old male was driving a motorcycle down the road when he passed a vehicle in a no-passing zone and hit a car traveling in the opposite lane head-on.
Police say he was ejected from the bike and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car that he hit was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
