ADDISON, N.Y. (WENY) -- Following the devastating flooding from Debby that hit the Twin Tiers a few weeks ago, the community is coming together to host a benefit concert for local businesses.

"I'm a very strong believer that small towns are always there for each other. So I was like, 'how can we help these businesses that have been struck not once, but twice by flood devastation?' And so I just contacted a few people and we got this thing rolling," said Arica Harris, the organizer of the fundraiser.

A flood relief benefit will be held at Moe-Town Music Venue in Addison on September 7th.  It's happening from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and tickets are $10 per person at the door.

"It's a 12 hour event. We start at 10 o'clock in the morning and we end at 10 o'clock at night, and it's $10 a person. That gets you in for the whole day, a whole day of music, and we have everything from classic country, modern country, classic rock, blues, and rap," said Harris.

There will be a Chinese Auction, cake wheel, a 50/50 raffle, and a variety of music acts.  Bands include Jerk, 41 West, Yestu, Arlin Grove, Night Owl, Ham Cannon, Larry Childs & Night Train, as well as Kountry Khaos.  DJ Biggie will be emceeing, and sound is provided by Sonic Odyssey Productions.  The Dane Axe Mobile Escape Room will also be in attendance.

All proceeds will go to the businesses in Woodhull affected by flood.  Organizers say some of the businesses this event is supporting include Smith's Funeral Home, Lynn's Market, Cady's Catering, and Cliff's Barbershop.

"When it comes to it, we all rally together to do what we have to do to help one another and that's the beauty of being from a small town," said Harris.
