Ferrario Jazz Festival draws in crowd while raising money for the EOP
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Despite the gloomy weather, Sullivan Park in Horseheads was filled people Saturday afternoon for the Ferrario Elmira Jazz Festival.
Tents and chairs filled the field as several acts took the stage. Among them were Ben Tankard, Marcus Johnson, Rebecca Jade, and Top Shelf. The Elmira Jazz Festival has been taking place for over a decade now, bringing the community in to listen and celebrate year after year.
"We came here to have a good time, and listen to music," said Beverly, an attendee.
"I'm interested in watching some live jazz, instead of just listening to it on YouTube, so here we are," said Pam, an attendee.
The proceeds from the festival will expand and promote programs provided by the Economic Opportunity Program, or EOP. The EOP aims to provide services that create positive change in individuals, families, and the Southern Tier community.
