CHEMUNG COUNTY, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Economic Opportunity Program in Elmira is hosting a back to school giveaway event for those eligible.

The EOP will be giving away backpacks, meals, school supplies, and more.  The giveaways are happening Wednesday, August 7th, and Monday, August 26th at the Ernie Davis Community Center. To participate, you must a Chemung County resident who is income eligible, and bring proof of income.

          2                    $3,287 or below

          3                    $4,143 or below 

          4                    $5,000 or below

          5                    $5,857 or below

          6                    $6,713 or below

          7                    $7,570 or below

          8                    $8,427 or below

     *Add $857 for each additional person
