ELMIRA, N.Y. (WENY) -- Community Arts of Elmira is searching for local book authors and illustrators to feature in their upcoming Write-On 607 showcase.

They are asking for those interested to apply to be featured at the event by filling out a Google Form by Friday at Midnight. Applicants will be told if they were or were not accepted into the showcase by Midnight on Sunday.

The organization intends for the event to showcase area creatives in the book scene, allowing them to network, sell copies of their novels, engage with the community and make more people aware of their work.

Write-On 607 is scheduled for Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Community Arts of Elmira.
