LAWRENCEVILLE, PA. (WENY) -- Victaulic, the company that runs a foundry in Lawrenceville, is expanding its property and creating 214 new jobs in Tioga County, according to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The company is planning to spend $100 million to add a 150,000 square-foot expansion to the property. New molding lines, melt furnaces, core machines, and automated finishing and paint equipment will all be housed inside. The machinery will help the company produce larger scale products. A 60,000 square-foot machine shop will also include new Computer Numerical Control equipment.

"Victaulic’s decision to stay here, invest here and grow here is a testament to the company’s loyalty to our community, as well as the outstanding work force and quality of life our region offers,” said State Representative Clint Owlett, a Republican.

The company received over $1 million in funding from a Pennsylvania First Program grant for the expansion, and over $420,000 in a Workforce and Development Network grant to help train new workers.

"The capital investment demonstrates our commitment to sustainable growth by incorporating production efficiency using the cleanest modern melting technology available," said Rick Bucher, President and C.E.O. of Victaulic.

Victaulic is the country's largest manufacturer of grooved mechanical pipe joining and flow control systems. The company purchased the Lawrenceville facility in 2021.
