UPDATE: 4:00 p.m. (6/26): The Town of Lindley has responded to WENY News' request for comment in the wake of the arrest of the Town Justice, Julie Kuck, who allegedly drove drunk with a child in the car. In a statement sent over email, Lindley Town Clerk Callie Perry said "it is an unfortunate situation, but we have to wait for the legal process to play out."

No word yet on when Kuck will appear in court to answer the charges.


ERWIN, N.Y. (WENY) -- The Town Justice for the Town of Lindley, Julie Kuck was arrested by New York State Police for allegedly driving drunk with a child in the vehicle.

According to New York State Police records, Kuck, who is 39-years-old, was taken into custody Friday on charges of Aggravated D.W.I. with a Child under the age of 15 in the car, a felony, Driving While Intoxicated, and Operating a Motor Vehicle with a blood alcohol content over .08%, which are misdemeanors.

According to the Steuben County Town and Village Court Schedule, Kuck is the Town Justice for Lindley.

WENY News reached out to the Town of Lindley for a comment, but have yet to hear back.
