A lot of NAHL players aim to play at the Division-I and Division-III levels, and some alumni have made it to the NHL.

Elmira Aviators Head Coach, Cody Murphy is excited to lead the team in its first season.

"It's a privilege. I did it as a player so to be on the other side of it I understand what it takes to get to those levels and it's something that's always been a dream of mine," Murphy said. "We've got the staff to support it, we've got the buzz, and with the arena and all of the hype and excitement so that should translate right into our players and how they're going to come out and play every single game."

Some of the current players talked about the type of hockey fans should expect this fall.

"It's a fast, skilled league. Guys aren't scared to throw the body around so it's going to be exciting hockey for sure," said Harrisburg, Pennsylvania native Brenden Bedorf.

"I think we've signed a lot of great players. I think we're going to be a good team," said Toronto native, Charlie Fink. "We want to win right off the hop obviously just like what Vegas did and I think it's going to be a great first year for the Aviators."

The Elmira Aviators are set to kick off their inaugural season in September.
