HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (WENY) -- Sixteen-year-old Bunny Baldwin is making waves in the theatrical world as she gets ready to attend Kristen Chenoweth's prestigious Broadway Bootcamp. From action to humor, Bunny is a young rising star both on stage and in front of the camera.

"I'm going to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, which is really exciting, and I'm going to be a part of the Kristen Chenoweth with Broadway boot camp," says Actress Bunny Baldwin.  "That means for two weeks I get to work with all these like Broadway professionals and we work to put on a show at the end of the two weeks and it's gonna be really exciting."

Baldwin's passion for performing began at a young age. Her first professional show was at just nine years old, showcasing her early and committed love for the theatre. She began performing on the national tour of "Annie." Her career continued performing in "The King's Legacy," "White Christmas," Kenny Rogers Christmas," and "Les Miserables."

Now, as a Notre Dame High School junior, she's unlocked a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Among thousands of aspiring young actors and actresses, Baldwin's talent shone through which earned her a spot at the Broadway Bootcamp in Oklahoma.

"There was like over like a thousand kids auditioned and all over the world,  I know, there's some kids coming in from Australia," says Baldwin.

The exciting journey across the United States at the age of nine to her Summer 2024 journey down to the Bootcamp would not be possible without the dedicated support of her family and friends.

"I received a full-ride scholarship to go there and I'm really excited. I think we do a few group numbers, I believe I was looking at their YouTube and stuff and we get to do like a whole big group number of like vocal and dance numbers and it's kind of like mini-workshops, so you get to take all these classes from Broadway professionals and then the end show {is like a showcase}," shared Baldwin.

As Bunny packs her bags for this unforgettable experience, she looks forward to making the most of her on stage, with her new friends and of course behind the scenes with some Broadway stars.

The stage is set for Bunny Baldwin to continue her young and aspirational rise to stardom.
